Dumpster Rental Terms & Conditions

Thank you for choosing Black Bear Dumpster Rentals. By placing an order online, by phone, by email, or by text message, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
1. Rental Period
All rentals include the rental period specified at the time of booking.
Additional rental days may be available upon request and are subject to availability. Extra rental days will be billed at the rate disclosed during booking or otherwise communicated by Black Bear Dumpster Rentals.
2. Delivery & Placement
Scheduling & Pickup
Deliveries and pickups are scheduled by date, not by a specific time or time window. Service may occur at any time during our normal business hours of operation. If you have a time-sensitive requirement, please contact Black Bear Dumpster Rentals prior to the scheduled service date to confirm whether it can be accommodated.
Dumpsters scheduled for pickup must be fully loaded, accessible, and ready for removal at the start of the scheduled pickup day. Customers should not rely on a particular pickup time for additional loading.
Placement & Property Access
Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery instructions and ensuring safe and adequate access to the requested delivery location.
Black Bear Dumpster Rentals will make reasonable efforts to place the dumpster in the customer's preferred location; however, final placement shall remain solely at the driver's discretion based upon safety, accessibility, site conditions, and operational considerations.
Once delivered, dumpsters may not be moved, relocated, towed, dragged, lifted, or otherwise repositioned by the customer.
Property Damage Risk
The customer acknowledges and accepts that dumpsters and delivery vehicles are extremely heavy equipment and that, even when operated with reasonable care, their weight may result in cracking, settlement, rutting, scratching, or other damage to driveways, paved surfaces, lawns, landscaping, curbing, underground utilities, septic systems, irrigation systems, or other areas of the property.
Placement of the dumpster on the customer's property constitutes the customer's acknowledgment and acceptance of the inherent risks associated with placing heavy equipment on the property.
Structural Suitability
The customer is solely responsible for ensuring that the property, including, but not limited to driveways, paved surfaces, lawns, landscaping, underground utilities, septic systems, irrigation systems, and all other areas where the dumpster or delivery equipment may travel or be placed, is structurally suitable to support the combined weight of the delivery equipment, the dumpster, and its contents.
Black Bear Dumpster Rentals does not inspect, evaluate, certify, represent, or warrant the structural condition, load-bearing capacity, or suitability of any portion of the customer's property. Placement of the dumpster or delivery equipment shall not be construed as an inspection, representation, certification, warranty, approval, or determination that the property is structurally suitable or capable of supporting the weight of the delivery equipment, the dumpster, and its contents.
Driveway Protection
The customer is solely responsible for providing any driveway protection or other protective materials the customer deems necessary to protect the property from the weight of the delivery equipment, the dumpster, and its contents. Failure by the customer to provide such protection shall not transfer, create, or impose any responsibility or liability upon Black Bear Dumpster Rentals.
3. Access Requirements
The delivery and pickup area must remain accessible at all times.
Driveways, gates, access roads, and placement areas must remain free of vehicles, equipment, debris, snow, ice, or other obstructions that prevent safe delivery or pickup.
If delivery or pickup cannot be completed due to inaccessible site conditions, blocked access, customer error, locked gates, or other circumstances beyond our control, a Dry Run Fee of $75 may be charged.
4. Dumpster Relocation
Customer shall not move, tow, drag, lift, or otherwise relocate the dumpster after delivery.
If relocation is required, Black Bear Dumpster Rentals must perform the relocation. Unauthorized movement may result in additional fees and damage charges.
5. Loading Guidelines
Materials must remain level with the top edge of the dumpster.
Debris may not extend above the rim of the container or interfere with safe transportation.
Materials should be loaded evenly throughout the dumpster to prevent unsafe transport conditions.
Black Bear Dumpster Rentals reserves the right to refuse pickup of any dumpster that is overloaded, improperly loaded, unsafe to transport, or contains prohibited materials. Additional trips, delays, or corrective actions may result in additional charges.
6. Weight Limits & Overage Charges
The following weight allowances are included in the rental price:
- 10 Yard Dumpster – 1.0 Ton Included
- 15 Yard Dumpster – 1.5 Tons Included
- 20 Yard Dumpster – 2.0 Tons Included
Additional weight is billed at $180 per ton, prorated based on the actual weight exceeding the included allowance.
All weights are determined solely by certified scale tickets issued by the disposal facility and shall be considered final for billing purposes.
Disposal facility determinations regarding weight, material classification, special handling requirements, and applicable disposal fees shall be considered final for billing purposes.
7. Service Area & Location-Based Pricing
Rental prices displayed on the website represent starting prices and may vary based on the delivery location. The final rental price applicable to the customer's delivery address will be displayed during booking or otherwise communicated prior to order approval.
Service availability and rental rates are determined by the delivery address.
8. Prohibited Materials
The following materials are prohibited unless specifically approved in writing:
- Hazardous waste
- Asbestos-containing materials
- Chemicals and solvents
- Paints, stains, and oils
- Propane tanks
- Batteries
- Medical waste
- Flammable or explosive materials
- Radioactive materials
Customers are responsible for any disposal charges, cleanup costs, fines, penalties, or damages resulting from prohibited materials placed in the dumpster.
9. Special Items
The following items may be accepted only with prior approval and are subject to additional disposal and handling fees:
- Tires – $25 per tire
- Mattresses and box springs – $30 per item
- Appliances containing refrigerants (including, but not limited to, refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, and dehumidifiers) – $25 per item
- Electronics and televisions – Additional fees may apply
Customers are responsible for all applicable disposal fees, handling fees, recycling fees, environmental fees, surcharges, special handling fees, and any other charges associated with materials placed in the dumpster.
Black Bear Dumpster Rentals may assess applicable charges for special items or other chargeable materials contained in or discovered during the rental, regardless of whether such materials were disclosed by the customer or identified at any particular stage of the rental.
Black Bear Dumpster Rentals will make reasonable efforts to disclose known fees in advance whenever reasonably possible; however, the customer remains responsible for all applicable charges associated with materials placed in the dumpster.
10. Heavy Materials
Concrete, dirt, brick, stone, asphalt, roofing materials, and other dense materials may require specific dumpster sizes, reduced fill levels, or special disposal procedures.
Standard household dumpster rentals are intended primarily for household junk and light construction debris. To protect our equipment and comply with transportation weight limits, clean concrete, dirt, brick, stone, asphalt, roofing materials, and other dense materials shall not exceed one standard (1) wheelbarrow load.
Projects involving larger quantities of heavy materials require specialized equipment and services and are not intended for standard household dumpster rentals.
Customers are responsible for accurately identifying the general type of material being disposed of. Additional charges may apply based on the actual contents of the dumpster.
If a dumpster exceeds the allowable quantity of heavy materials or is otherwise loaded in a manner that cannot be safely transported, Black Bear Dumpster Rentals reserves the right to refuse pickup until the load has been corrected or to assess additional charges associated with making the load safe for transportation, including, but not limited to, labor, additional trips, additional dumpsters, equipment, disposal costs, repairs resulting from overloading or misuse, and other reasonable service charges.
11. Payment Authorization
By providing a payment method, the customer authorizes Black Bear Dumpster Rentals to securely retain the payment method on file and charge the payment method for all authorized rental-related charges, including but not limited to:
- Rental charges
- Additional rental days
- Overage weight charges
- Dry Run Fees
- Mileage charges
- Dumpster relocation fees
- Damage, cleaning, or repair charges
- Charges resulting from prohibited materials
- Applicable disposal, recycling, environmental, or handling fees
- Disposal fees for special items including, but not limited to, mattresses, box springs, tires, appliances, electronics, refrigerant-containing appliances, and similar materials
- Any disposal costs, surcharges, recycling fees, environmental fees, special handling fees, or other charges associated with materials placed in the dumpster
- Applicable taxes
The customer authorizes Black Bear Dumpster Rentals to charge the payment method on file for all amounts due under these Terms & Conditions at the time such amounts become due, whether identified before delivery, during the rental, at pickup, during transportation, after disposal, or otherwise in connection with the rental.
Supporting documentation may be retained and provided upon request at Black Bear Dumpster Rentals' discretion when available.
12. Cancellation Policy
Orders canceled prior to dispatch are subject to a $35 cancellation fee to cover processing and administrative costs.
Once a dumpster has been dispatched for delivery, cancellations or unsuccessful delivery attempts due to circumstances outside of Black Bear Dumpster Rentals' control are subject to a $150 dry-run fee to cover driver time, fuel, and scheduling costs.
Once a dumpster has been delivered, rental charges are non-refundable.
13. Permits & Local Requirements
Customer is responsible for obtaining any permits, HOA approvals, municipal authorizations, parking permissions, or other approvals required for dumpster placement.
Black Bear Dumpster Rentals shall not be responsible for fines, violations, towing charges, or penalties resulting from missing permits or approvals.
14. Weather & Delays
Delivery and pickup dates are estimates and are not guaranteed.
Weather conditions, traffic, road closures, equipment breakdowns, disposal facility delays, or other circumstances beyond our control may impact scheduling.
Black Bear Dumpster Rentals shall not be liable for losses, damages, project delays, or expenses resulting from such delays.
15. Photo Documentation
Customer authorizes Black Bear Dumpster Rentals to photograph the delivery location, dumpster placement, pickup condition, dumpster contents, or other aspects of the rental for documentation, quality control, operational records, and dispute resolution purposes.
16. Damage, Loss & Theft
Customer is responsible for damage to the dumpster beyond normal wear and tear occurring during the rental period.
Customer may be held responsible for theft, vandalism, fire damage, or loss of the dumpster while it remains in their possession, to the extent permitted by law.
17. Agreement
By placing an order, the customer acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
