Choose your dumpster size, select your preferred delivery date, and submit your reservation request online in just a few minutes.
2. We Review Your Order
We’ll verify availability and typically approve reservations within 15–30 minutes during business hours.
3. Delivery
We’ll deliver your dumpster on the scheduled day and carefully place it where requested. Need a specific placement? Leave instructions or upload a photo.
4. Fill Your Dumpster
Every rental includes 7 days and generous included weight. Need more time? Just let us know before pickup.
5. Pickup & Final Invoice
We’ll haul your dumpster away, process it at the transfer station, and notify you if any overage charges apply. If you’re within the included weight, you’re all set.

How Overage Charges Work
Most customers never exceed their included weight allowance. However, if your dumpster weighs more than the included amount, only the additional weight is billed.
We believe overage charges should be simple, transparent, and easy to understand—no hidden fees or guesswork.
How It Works
1. Your Dumpster Is Weighed
After pickup, your dumpster is taken to the transfer station where it is weighed and processed.
2. Included Weight Is Applied
Each dumpster includes a set amount of disposal weight.
- 10 Yard: 1 Ton Included
- 15 Yard: 1.5 Tons Included
- 20 Yard: 2 Tons Included
3. Only the Difference Is Billed
If your dumpster exceeds the included weight, you’ll only be charged for the additional amount at $160 per ton, prorated to the nearest pound.
For example:
- Included Weight: 2.0 Tons
- Actual Weight: 2.35 Tons
- Additional Weight: 0.35 Tons
- Overage Charge: 0.35 × $160 = $56.00
4. You'll Be Notified
Once your dumpster has been processed, we’ll notify you if any additional charges apply. If your load stays within the included weight, there’s nothing more to pay.
What Can I Throw Away?
Most household, construction, and renovation debris can be safely placed in one of our dumpsters. If you’re ever unsure about a specific item, we’re always happy to help before your rental.

✕ Items That Cannot Be Placed in the Dumpster
For safety and environmental reasons, the following items are prohibited:

- Motor oil, gasoline, and antifreeze
- Propane tanks
- Batteries
- Tires
- Asbestos-containing materials
- Medical waste
- Explosives or ammunition

Special Disposal Items
Most household debris can be disposed of without issue. However, certain items require additional handling, disposal fees, or prior approval due to local disposal regulations.

Accepted with an additional disposal fee due to transfer station requirements.
✓ Appliances
Some appliances can be accepted, while others—such as refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, and dehumidifiers—require special handling because they contain refrigerants.

Tires require separate recycling and cannot be mixed with normal household debris. Additional disposal fees apply.

Important to Know
Dumpster rentals are heavy, and every driveway is different. While we take every reasonable precaution during delivery and pickup, Black Bear Dumpster Rentals cannot guarantee against damage to asphalt, concrete, pavers, decorative surfaces, or underground utilities.
If you have concerns about your driveway or placement location, contact us before delivery and we’ll gladly discuss the best options.
Rental Length & Extensions
Every standard dumpster rental includes 7 days, giving most homeowners plenty of time to complete their cleanup or renovation project without feeling rushed.
If you finish early, simply let us know and we’ll schedule pickup. If you need additional time, we’re happy to extend your rental whenever availability allows.

While we do our best to accommodate extension requests, availability depends on current reservations and demand. Contacting us as early as possible gives us the best chance of extending your rental.

Do I Need a Permit?
In most cases, no permit is required if your dumpster is placed entirely on private property, such as a driveway.
However, if the dumpster needs to be placed on a public street, roadway, or public right-of-way, your local municipality may require a permit before delivery.

No permit is typically required when the dumpster is placed on your own driveway or other private property with adequate access.
✓ Street Placement
If the dumpster must be placed on a public street, sidewalk, or other public area, you may be responsible for obtaining any required permits before delivery.
