RENTAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

Thank you for choosing Black Bear Hauling LLC. These terms apply to all dumpster rentals and related services. By completing your booking, you agree to the following terms:

1. Rental Duration

  • Standard dumpster rental includes 7 days (adjust based on your pricing).
  • Additional days are available for $10 per day.
  • Pickups are scheduled in advance based on route availability.

2. Delivery & Placement

  • Customer must ensure a clear and accessible area for delivery and pickup.
  • Customer is responsible for accurate placement instructions.
  • Black Bear Hauling LLC is not responsible for property damage resulting from placement or removal.
  • Driveway protection is recommended and available as an add-on.

3. Prohibited & Surcharge Items

Some items require special handling at disposal facilities and may be either prohibited or subject to additional disposal fees based on disposal facility requirements.

Surcharge Items (Allowed with Fees):

  • Mattresses / box springs — $30 each
  • Tires — $25 each
  • Refrigerant appliances (refrigerators, AC units, freezers) — $25 each

These charges will be added to the final invoice after pickup.

Strictly Prohibited Items:

  • Hazardous chemicals
  • Asbestos
  • Oils, fuels, or flammable liquids
  • Paint (unless fully dried out)
  • Batteries
  • Propane tanks or pressurized cylinders 

Customers are encouraged to disclose any surcharge items in advance.
If these items are found and not disclosed, additional handling or sorting fees may apply.

4. Weight Limits & Overages

  • Each dumpster includes a weight allowance based on its size.
  • Overage fees are billed at $160 per ton.
  • Certified scale tickets are available upon request.
  • All additional charges are calculated after disposal and invoiced to the Customer. Payment is due upon receipt.

5. Loading Requirements

  • Debris must not exceed the top rails of the dumpster.
  • Overfilled dumpsters cannot be hauled for safety reasons.
  • A $75 dry-run fee may apply if loading prevents safe hauling.

6. Access & Failed Delivery/Pickup

  • Customer must keep access clear at scheduled times.
  • Blocked or unsafe access will incur a dry-run fee of $75.

7. Winter Weather Operations

Black Bear Hauling LLC operates year-round; however, winter weather conditions (including snow, ice, and freezing temperatures) may require schedule adjustments. All service dates are weather-permitting and may be moved as needed to ensure safe operation.

During winter months, customers agree to maintain clear, safe, and accessible conditions once weather allows, including:

  • Plowed and sanded driveway or access road
  • Adequate space to safely maneuver the truck
  • Removal of vehicles or other obstructions
  • Clearing snow and ice from the intended placement area

Weather-related delays are considered a normal part of winter operations. Black Bear Hauling LLC will resume or adjust service as soon as conditions safely allow.

8. Customer Responsibilities

The customer agrees to:

  • Provide safe and legal access
  • Prevent unauthorized dumping
  • Pay for all additional fees (overages, surcharge items, extra days, contamination, etc.)
  • Assume responsibility for all materials loaded

9. Indemnification

Customer agrees to hold Black Bear Hauling LLC harmless from:

  • Property damage during placement or removal
  • Injuries resulting from misuse
  • Fines or penalties due to prohibited materials or unsafe loading

10. Cancellation & Rescheduling

  • Same-day cancellations may incur a fee.
  • Rescheduling depends on route and driver availability.

11. Payment Terms

  • Additional charges (overages, surcharge items, extra days, etc.) are calculated after disposal and invoiced to the Customer.
  • Payment is due upon receipt.
  • Failure to pay outstanding balances may result in additional fees or collection action.

12. Agreement

By renting a dumpster and completing checkout, you acknowledge and agree to all terms listed above.
