If you’re unsure about a specific item, please contact us before loading your dumpster.
Are there extra fees for overweight?
Our flat-rate pricing includes up to 1 ton of weight (unless otherwise specified in your quote).
If the dumpster exceeds the included weight:
Additional weight is billed at $150 per extra ton
Weight is determined by the landfill or transfer station scale
Tips to avoid extra weight charges:
Roofing shingles, plaster, dirt, concrete, and stone are extremely heavy
Keep heavy materials low and evenly distributed
If you’re unsure how much your debris weighs, contact us for an estimate
Items Allowed With an Extra Fee
Some items are accepted but the transfer station charges special handling fees. These include:
Appliances with refrigerants
Refrigerators
Freezers
Air conditioners
Fee: $25 each
Mattresses & Box Springs
Fee: $100 each
Tires
Fee: $10–$75 each, depending on size
TVs & Computer Monitors
Fee: $35 each
If you have an item not listed here, ask us—fees vary by facility.
Overfilling & Weight Limits
Each dumpster has a marked fill line and must be loaded safely.
Please do NOT:
Load debris above the top edge
Let items stick out from the sides
Overload with heavy materials above halfway
Why these rules matter:
Trucks have strict legal weight limits
Unsafe or overloaded dumpsters cannot be transported
Overfilled loads may result in return-trip fees or unloading requirements
If you’re not sure how to load your material properly, just ask—we’re here to help.
Large Appliances & Special Charges
Allowed with restrictions (due to refrigerants):
Refrigerators
Freezers
Air conditioners
(These carry a special handling fee—see “Items Allowed With an Extra Fee”)
Other appliances generally allowed:
Washers
Dryers
Stoves
Dishwashers
Guidelines:
Remove loose doors when possible
Load appliances low in the dumpster
Avoid stacking heavy appliances on fragile items
If you have several appliances, check with us first to avoid overweight issues.

Driveway Protection Tips
To protect your driveway during delivery and pickup:

Avoid placement on soft ground or decorative pavers
Move cars from the area to allow a straight, unobstructed approach
Sweep loose gravel or debris where the dumpster will be placed
If you don’t have plywood, let us know ahead of time—we may help provide alternatives.
Preparing for Delivery
Before your dumpster arrives:
1. Check space and clearance
Ensure room for both the container and the truck
Watch for low branches, wires, or overhangs
2. Choose a safe surface
Flat, solid driveway is ideal
Avoid sloped, muddy, or soft ground
3. Provide clear instructions
Mark the exact placement spot
Inform us of any gate codes, obstacles, or concerns
4. Plan your loading path
Keep a walkway from the house/garage to the dumpster
Separate restricted items before loading
